How much will tuition cost?Because we offer comprehensive and highly individualized services, costs associated with enrolling in Copper Canyon Academy depend upon a number of personal factors, including anticipated length of stay and the nature and severity of the issues the adolescent is struggling to overcome. Our intake advisors will be happy to work with you to develop a detailed financial picture based upon your family’s unique needs.
Does your girls’ boarding school accept insurance or provide financing options?Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. If you’re interested in determining if you would qualify for a private loan, we work with independent loan organizations. Loans can cover tuition, enrollment fees, and miscellaneous expenses including transportation to and from the boarding school. For more information visit our Tuition & Financial Assistance page.

How will your school meet my daughter’s academic needs? We are proud to offer a fully accredited college prep academic program that is taught by Arizona Certified Teachers and/or Master Level instructors. Copper Canyon Academy’s academic program is designed to maximize each student’s academic potential, rekindle her love of learning, and take advantage of our unique credit recovery program. Parents and approved family members are able to write to the student the first day after enrollment. Parents are also involved in weekly phone communication with their daughter’s therapist.
As your daughter progresses through the Stages of Change, family counseling by phone and visits begin with the therapist’s approval. All visits on campus are combined with a family therapy session. Copper Canyon parents are able to receive pictures of their daughter and monthly performance/therapeutic updates through an online program called Parent Checkin.
How do you prepare students (and families) for life after graduation? An important component of treatment at Copper Canyon is preparing your daughter to make a healthy and productive return home. Can my daughter receive mail during her stay at Copper Canyon Academy?Yes. We encourage you to write to your daughter on a regular basis. We do not censor any of the mail coming in or going out. All mail leaving the facility from your daughter is sent to you and all mail coming in must come from you. We encourage you to screen any mail from other people, and we strongly recommend you do not forward mail to or from peers until the final stages of treatment. Will my daughter have spending money? Each student is given a monthly student allowance. She uses this money to buy personal necessities and to pay for special activities. We encourage you not to send her additional money. One of the skills the students learn is budgeting. Keeping and balancing her checkbook is an important part of the program, and we want her to learn to be fiscally responsible. If there is a special need or situation where additional money would be required you will be contacted by CCA staff.
Does your boarding school enforce a dress code?Yes. To maintain a healthy and productive environment, Copper Canyon Academy enforces a dress code. Inappropriate clothing or items will be mailed home to parents.
